The research unit Sciences for Enology INRA Montpellier France is one of the most important organizations involved in enological research worldwide. The research in wine making fermentation necessitates an increasing number of experiments and there is a major interest in combining automation, high throughput approach and precise monitoring of the fermentation process. The project of an automated robotic system for high throughput fermentation was elaborated in close relationship between our laboratory and Lab Services. The presentation will highlight the benefits of the solution provided by Lab Services and describe the software architecture and data processing.
